There’s been a lot of talk today about ‘green’.
Green is the new black.
It’s easy being green.
Go green.
On everyone’s webpage, on every TV show, and on everyone’s mind today is Green. Last night my husband and I watched Frontline, a documentary on PBS called “A health checkup of America’s waterways.” The episode highlighted the current state of Puget Sound and the Chesapeake Bay. Being residents of the mid-Atlantic region, this show hit close to home. The show highlighted the products we use everyday and the lifestyle we have become accustomed to has damaged these waterways in irreversible ways. Often in our efforts to think ‘green’ we overlook water. So on this earth day, I encourage you to think ‘blue’ too! Save the earth and the water!
Also, on this earth day I couldn’t resist sharing that my sunflowers planted in egg cartons have started to poke through the dirt. This is always an exciting time – now each day I get to watch them grow.
Happy Earth Day!
