Television Inspires Organization

Did you know?
• 99% of households possess at least one television
• 2.24 TV sets in the average U.S. household
• 66% of U.S. homes have three or more TV sets
• TV is on in an average U.S. home 6 hours, 47 minutes per day
• 56% of Americans pay for cable TV
I LOVE watching television. I grew up without cable and didn’t have it until I went to college and it was included in the dorm (room and board was a wonderful thing!). There was one family vacation I remember on the beach in South Carolina where my parents rented the whole family bikes for the week. Rather than joining my family on a bike ride, I stayed in the condo to watch cable. I was mesmerized! I don’t think my parents were too happy but I was in heaven!

With all this television watching I thought you might be looking for some organization inspiration.
Clean Sweep
Mission Organization
Neat
Real Simple Television
Oprah’s Clean Up Your Messy House Tour

All of these shows are great because they do provide sound advice and tid-bits for getting organized. They also can get us motivated to turn off the TV (or keep it on) and tackle that closet that we’ve been dreading to open. But I encourage you to be realistic. While you can get a lot done in just a few minutes to make yourself feel proud, don’t be discouraged if your house isn’t made over in 60 minutes or less. What they do on TV is nothing short of a miracle!

If you’ve seen any of these shows I’d love to get your thoughts! What’s your favorite organzational television show?
