Utensil Organizer

A utensil holder is a great tool to keep your (drum roll…) utensils organized! Often called a crock (no, not the super comfy shoes) a utensil holder is similar to a vase or can that you use to store your utensils. Not only does the utensil holder keep your cooking tools right at your finger tips it eliminates the dreaded over crowded jammed utensil drawer.

Keep the utensil holder next to your stove top for easy access. Place your utensils with the handles facing down to maximize the storage in the holder. Don’t over crowd the holder; doing so will make removing or adding utensils difficult and messy. Store the utensils you use most often in your utensil holder. Keep other miscellaneous utensils in a drawer with dividers so the drawer can be easily opened and closed.

Utensil holders come in various styles, colors and finishes so you are sure to find one that matches your kitchen décor. If you’re one where your design tastes change frequently – go for a neutral design – stainless steel, white, etc.

The utensil holder is often overlooked when cleaning the kitchen. Be sure to dust the outside of the storage container and frequently empty the holder to clean the inside as dust and crumbs can collect in the bottom.
