Good Housekeeping DIY Closet Organizer Review & Hands-on Experience

gh-april-issueIn the April issue of Good Housekeeping there is a quick one-page run-down of DIY Closet Organizers. Often we “settle” for the closet system that our home came with rather than creating a closet organization system that is personalized for our style, our habits and our collections of clothes, shoes, and accessories. Good Housekeeping identified the top 3 DIY closet organizing systems. After skimming the chart on page 133 of the April issue I was reminded of a conversation with a good friend, Maureen, who has had firsthand experience with more than 1 brand and style of DIY closet systems. Maureen and her husband have lived in their Ohio home for 6 years and as the years have passed so have their storage needs. They have slowly removed the “builder grade” original storage systems that were in the house and replaced them with various DIY closet organizers based on their needs in various bedrooms and hall closets.
