It’s no secret that like most organizers I’m a fan of Peter Walsh. Peter Walsh is an organizing guru helping people live fulfilling clutter-free lives. You’ve probably seen Peter on The Oprah Show or TLC’s Clean Sweep. Recently he developed a line of organizational office products sold exclusively in Office Max. Peter’s product line, appropriately named the In Place System is flexible, portable and accessible.
This year alone, Ready Aim Organize has published over 25 blogs, countless tweets, and endless facebook posts. As Peter Walsh is seen on more tv shows and develops more new products Ready Aim Organize is also growing. We’re growing online and we’re growing in the number of satisfied and organized clients! There will be BIG announcements in the next few weeks from Ready Aim Organize and to celebrate all this growth and change I’m giving away one of Peter Walsh’s In Place System Organization Kits.
Simply comment on this blog entry and you’ll be entered to win the Organization Kit. Some bloggers who giveaway a free product make it challenging where you have to post a comment, tweet, spin around 10 times and sing a song to win…not me! My goal is to simplify your life. So I want to hear from you. What is one thing you have done in 2010 to live a more organized life? Simply answer as a comment to this blog post and you’ll be entered to win. One thing I did in 2010 to live a more organized life is to purchase shelving and containers for my cluttered basement and sorted items (such as seasonal decorations-tupperware, items used infrequently) and labeled the containers. The containers are also clear so I can see the contents. I also “got rid” of things while doing this. My basement storage area looks so much better!
This year I have tried to consistently pack lunches the night before helping to reduce the craziness of the morning rush. This year in the mornings we have five people who go to five different schools by 7:30 AM …I guess I am just lucky we don’t leave in our pjs! Also, my husband and I periodically go down to the basement or “kid city” and sort through toys. We set aside some to save for future nieces/nephew/grandchildren, we donate others, and finally some get put in the back to be pulled out on a rainy day. This is a covert operation done after kids are fast asleep. Doing such organizing when they are awake is not productive. Keeping the basement organized makes me happier about going down there to spend time with my kids. Happy basement, happy Mommy, happy Mommy, happy family!
Trying to manage my expenses, husband, house and a rental cabin are impossible at the end of the year for taxes!!! After this years tax season I made a simply haning file for each of us and make it a priority to put receipts in the correct file. I even made a file for the cats and cars!!
This year, my husband and I have worked at getting organized and staying that way by simply cleaning out our closet once every few months. We rid our lives of clothes that we don’t wear anymore and at the same time we donate to the veterans! It has reduced clutter in out closets, sped up our morning routine and our laundry routine. It has also
made us understand the importance of only purchasing thingsvthat we know we will get use out of….and that stretches beyond our closet! It has allowed us to make better choices that we’ve benefitted from, financially too!!!
Paper crafts had been seriously popular for a while now. Most children begin making paper crafts in class. The professors typically start the child out with quite simple paper crafting projects. This usually involves giving the child several color choices as well as many shapes of building paper to work with. Most professors usually give the child various tips to start with, but every child is actually encouraged to show their creativity on their own crafting paper project. This kind of arts and crafts can also be incredibly stimulating for parents. Several, utilize the paper crafting materials for decorations, by placing them in a surprise container or even utilizing them as gift wrap. While some utilize them for an American favorite pastime called scrap booking.
This year I’ve done several ‘big sweeps’ of our wordly possessions. I’ve gotten rid of a lot of excess stuff, by pretending we were packing to move. If i wouldnt move with it, we don’t really need it!
With a new baby on the way I’ve tried to put my nesting urges to good use. My husband and I have managed to simplify our lives by clearing the clutter. We found so many things that we just don’t need or use anymore. I have to say it felt so good to get rid of it!! I also can’t believe how easy it has been to keep the house neat and tidy as a result!
This would be wonderful to help me get more organized! I have been slowly trying to de-clutter different rooms in my house. Thanks so much for the chance to win this
It has not been easy, but so far this year I have made a point to open mail the day it arrives. I immediately recycle the ads, flip the pages of the magazines, and pay the bills needing to be paid. The piles on the dining room table are no longer and nothing gets forgotten. I am no longer overwhelmed at the end of the month with all the mail to sort through. Thanks Theresa for all the organizing and time saving tips!
A few weeks ago I decided to purge and get rid of a bunch of items I rarely use or don’t need (mainly clothes and kitcken items). Then my husband and I bought a new closet system for our master bedroom closet. It’s doubled our space and also allowed us to get rid of our dresser in the bedroom. Now our bedroom looks bigger. We’re enjoying the extra space!
