Real Simple Countertop Organizer in action.
So by now you know I like Real Simple and I like Target. When you put them together…only good can happen, right?! The Real Simple home/office organizing product line at Target is made up of 18 items ranging in price from $4.49 to $29.99. Over the past 5+ years the product has been available to us (the trendy and credit happy Target shopper) we’ve seen the color palette change and products come and go. While some of my favorites have left the product offering (apparently I didn’t buy enough) there always seems to be some variation of a desktop organizer. While in the past I had used these as more of a countertop organizer in my kitchen for coupons, gift cards, letter openers, stamps, envelopes, etc. While I thought I was finding a solution using an existing product apparently I was not alone. This year, Target is offering just that…a Real Simple Countertop Organizer. Yes, you can still use it on your desk (they’ll never know). Organizing should not be forced – store and use things where they solve a problem. The Real Simple Countertop Organizer solves a problem in the kitchen. We all have limited counter top space and miscellaneous papers and items seem to end up from one end of the counter to the other. Keep those items corralled in the Countertop Organizer.
Real Simple Tiered File Organizer
Another Real Simple item that would be useful on a countertop or a desktop is the Real Simple Tiered File Organizer. Although advertised as portable, I would argue the Real Simple Filing Tote serves that purpose better. The Tiered File Organizer has 3 slots to store papers. Storing the papers vertically saves space and keeps the papers visible. Assign categories for each slot to make filing your papers simple. Keep your categories broad – remember there are only 3 slots. You could assign each child a slot to store their school papers for the current week. Create categories that work for YOU!
The Real Simple Tiered File Organizer and Countertop Organizer might not coordinate with the color scheme of your kitchen or office but it will add a pop of color. Enjoy that splash of color until next year when Real Simple and Target come out with a new product line that we’ll all just ‘have to have’.
