YOU COULD WIN - Real Simple Hanging Organizer
YOU COULD WIN – Real Simple Hanging Organizer

Back to school is a great time to evaluate some of your home organizational systems. Is your home ready to handle homework, sports equipment, notes from teachers, kid’s artwork, etc.? What changes do you have to make at home to accommodate this change? One tool that could fix this problem is the Real Simple™ Hanging Organizer. This is a simple fabric pocket that hangs on the wall (vertical storage is always a bonus) to store and organize papers. The pegs and grommets allow you to attach multiple hanging organizers together to create an entire storage system. These work great on a wall in the kitchen, office, laundry room, or pantry door. As you transition the family back to school you can use one hanging organizer for each child. In the pocket you can teach your kids to put their papers that need signed or reviewed by mom or dad when they get home from school. These hanging organizers can serve as your ‘at-home in-box’ for all things school related. Using a separate pocket per child allow you to keep the inflow of paper organized. These hanging organizers are available for sale at Target for $15.00 each.

Two Real Simple Hanging Organizers can be yours! Simply comment to this blog post and share what your family does to smooth the transition from summer to school. No kids? No problem. I love using bags and totes. One bag for library books being returned, one for my daughter’s dance team practice, one for my business papers needed at appointments, etc.

  2. Jenny Ham says:

Where are the comments come on everyone get your family friends and neighbors and make this a big give away. Back to school and ready to drool.

  3. Jenny Ham says:

Sorry so excited I forgot to post my tip.
I have a bin for each child when they get home from school their items go right to their own bin then when it comes time to find papers do homework etc. It is all in one place. When the kids are done the items go back to the bin so along with the next mornings outfit. When I make the lunches they aslo go in the bins. Everything is easy to find to start out for a good day.

  4. Jennifer Madigan says:

Our biggest transition is that the kids can’t play outside as much (they are all under 3 and get cold so quickly in the snow). We rearrange our sons room to include more movement toys so that they are still getting as much exercise as possible when it gets below freezing. The room is still small though so we have to move other toys into storage so that we aren’t overrun with toys.

  5. Tamara Thums says:

To ease the summer to school transition, we start reading to our kids for an hour before bedtime each night. It gets the kids back in the right frame of mind for school.

  6. Candy Steers says:

I start early bedtime a week or two prior to start getting on to a shook schedule. As far as organizing its either drawers or totes that my children’s school stuff goes in to.

  7. Karin Evanshine says:

    i’m so disorganized. its crazy.

  8. verita hottois says:

I was never organized in school or out of school, but now that I have a son on the way who is due in december I am finding myself to try and be organized. Im filing important papers and actually putting clothes away. Its hard but I just have to keep forcing myself to think “the less there is of stuff on the floor the less I will trip on in the middle of the night while feeding.”

  9. RestoreMgmt says:

These are great, I have one posted above hooks where my children enter the house after school, they hang their bookbag & coats on the hooks, throw their shoes in their bucket and put their homework folder into the hanging file. That way, they are ready to tackle their homework after a quick snack and it does not get lost in the meantime!
