Soles4Souls Shoe Drive in La Jolla

Shoes, shoes, shoes! Every home I’ve been in seems to have an area that is overtaken by shoes. Sometimes it’s the closet, the entryway, the laundry room or the staircase. We’re all guilty of taking off our shoes and leaving them. This ‘leaving them’ creates clutter in our homes, not to mention a tripping hazard. Now is the perfect time to organize our shoes.

This Saturday, October 15th from 10am to 2pm you can bring any shoes that you no longer wear, need or love to the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center in La Jolla to be donated to Soles4Souls. Any style, size or condition of shoe is welcome. Even that loner shoe that you’ve been hanging on to hoping you’d find its mate. All shoes are welcomed! The shoes will be distributed by Soles4Souls to individuals all over the world who are without. Something as simple as a pair of shoes to protect our feet from disease and injury, we often take for granted.

Clean out your closets, staircases, car trunks, gym bags, and kid’s bedrooms to find shoes you no longer need. Consider shoes that are outdated, worn out, too small, too big, uncomfortable, or ugly! No need to clean or repair the shoes. Bring the shoes as is! Look for a blog post later this week to help you get your shoes organized.
